Under Zais' plan, teachers' evaluations would be based on the standardized test scores of students they've never even met. In addition, this plan would be implemented at the same time as new testing standards.

In an editorial column published in The State (Columbia, SC) newspaper, EdFirstSC Director Patrick Hayes spoke out against this unfair system.
